Day tour to Essaouira

Travel back in time

We start the day picking you up at 8 am from your sleeping accommodation. Heading right away to Essaouira which is 3 hours. This region of Morocco is known for its great argan oil. On our way, we will stop at the Argan Cooperative to let you enjoy this wonderful piece of culture and to take a break from the drive. They will show us how the famous oil and cosmetics are made from argan nuts. The process requires hard work from the women involve. They do it with such enthusiasm, it is really inspiring to witness.

We will arrive in Essaouira at 11 am, you can now start to explore this beautiful city. Essaouira let the impression of time travelling. It is a small and quiet town, surrounded by medieval walls, with a castle still standing at far south’s end. The architecture is influenced by the French and Spanish current. For lunch we recommend you to enjoy fresh grilled fish from the port. In the afternoon, you can have a walk by the sea, visit the animated market and take a coffee looking at the port. Later, we will meet again at 3 pm to make our way back to Marrakesh for 6 pm. Essaouira is one of the best places to go if you want to enjoy the culture in a calm and relax way.
